I need your guys opinions on a set of rims i'm looking at. Regardless I have to buy new tires this year so if I can afford to i'm picking up a new set of wheels as well.

This is what i'm looking at.
EMS Style 32 16x8 and 4x100 with 10mm offset, each rim is 19lbs (bit heavy for my liking). Price tag is $750 shipped

Meh, I try to avoid knock-offs (which is pretty much impossible in the sub $300/rim price range), at the very least not something so well known as a TE37.



Personally, my next wheels are gonna be some 15x8 6ULs.

yes but I would prefer not to have a crazy offset or backspacing as well. Would prefer a 5 spoke over a 6 but also looking for something with a little lip. Was originaly trying to track down some borbets (can't remember the 2 models off hand) but its extremely hard to find a set since they were discontinued

Its now back at my house for the reassembly process to begin.

Re did my cut off switch wiring.




Started mounting the rear bumper.








There was originally around 1 1/2" gap between the bumper and headlights. To fix this issue we used a section of a different bumper and fused it to this one so it looks factory.


The plan is to have it back together and on the road by May 2nd.

Glad to see it going back together. My goal is may as well.

Lookin good, any particular reason for May 2? Maybe autoX at Noah's Park?

Nothing special going on as far as I know, just want it back together in a months time.

I've been working on running my harnesses lately. I'm using these 1" adhesive pads from fastenal for hiding my wired behind panels.




Harness runs around and up to the front behind everything.

Relocated my alternator to were the power steering pump was.

Had to cut one of the tabs off of the alternator for it to clear the gti-r intake manifold.


Factory power steering pump bracket required some triming as well to work.




Modified the factory alternator bracket to work as well.


Was able to still use the original belt as well.




Started on running my harnesses. The body harness is now behind the dash with the headlight, directional, sidemarker & alternator plugs extended to were they are needed.

Now do to the fact that the hatch may flex to much with the factory shocks they decided to eliminate them when designing it. Because of that I had to make 2 prop bars for the hatch.






Made it so that it would cover a good portion of the hatch adding lots of support.

Looks good, your PS bracket is different from the lowport version. Glad you got it to work, you will like the room up front, especially with a turbo.

ya the room will be great espically for running my cut off piping now. thanks for the idea of the relocation, i might not have thought of it otherwise.

Its getting there, wiring, power steering and drivetrain is all connected. Windshield is going in thursday and there is a lot of little stuff for me to do.




Valve cover as well as a lot of small brackets are off getting painted.

Looks like that thing is going to be a blast in Omaha!

I won't be able to go to the convention any more, one of my good buddies decided to get married that weekend.

I've been lazy lately but here is a little update. My windshield is on backorder so I won't have it until the end of this month which sucks.

Sprayed my rotors with high temp caliper paint so they don't look like crap from rusting anymore.


Aluminum 11ga battery tray I made for the car. Not the best welds tig welding but i'm getting there.






Also made a aluminum plate for my fuel cell to take the place of the washers holding the unit down. They weren't doing a good jop of sealing it evenly.


Gauges are mounted with the cage pods. Just have to figure out what to do with the wires to make it look cleaner.

you could paint a small piece of metal electrical conduit that clamps to your cage in a similar fashion as your gauges. drill a couple holes in the conduit and a few rubber grommets later, you can have some clean wiring that gets plumbed to wherever you put it. Similar to wiring a bike frame but not using the roll cage to do so.

It took awhile but I managed to find a actual carbon fiber rear view mirror. Found it on ebay and looks like it was specially made.

Nice. LOL that bracket looks like it weighs more than the mirror itself.

Any chance I could get you to make me a battery tray like that for my lil battery? Nothing fancy, I just want to be able to put a couple bolts through it to mount to the factory bolt holes. I'd throw you some loot.
