| I was driving in the shitty weather going 45 mph on a back road that is higher so I wasn't worried about flooding and it was 10:00 pm and down pouring. I slammed in to a huge puddle and car stalled out. I got it home and it sat over night. I go to start it and starts up ,but know it's got a loud knock. SO now it's time to do a rebuild the old engine. I will do some picture up as I go with updates. | |

| That sucks. There was a lot of flooding everywhere. If you wanted to do it on the cheap, you could do sr16 pistons and e-85. But I'm guessing your going to need rods, too. | |

| Got the head off today and not too happy with what I see. The head looks fine and my spark plugs are not crushed so no valve to pistons hits which is nice but the first piston is cracked. I am also almost sure the rods are junk but I will know tomorrow when I take that out. I am hoping the block and crank are ok as well. | |

| Update 8/3/10 :So I bought a de motor from Yang and Am in the process of ripping it apart and buying parts and putting my ve head on. I am going to be running the sr16ve pistons with 1mm shave off so we will se what kind of difference it will make. Anyways for shits I was looking at my piston that was cracked and put a pry bar in the crack and the piston popped out.... The side skirts are completely gone and shattered the wrist pin and everything under it... Also the rod is bent to hell and gashed the side walls. I will put up a few pics as thing go on.... | |

| Just got my head back from the shop (Automotive Engine Rebuilders) very nice guys a fair price IMO and I had the head clean, pressure checked, vacuum tested, resurfaced, removed shaft, touch-up low valves. I had 2 intake valves leaking from gunk build up. Luckily nothing got bent and it just need a good clean up. I am waiting on my stuff from Greg (gspec) and my block, crank, pistons from C&S performance. | |

| Just a update the VE is finally getting put back together and will be in tip top shape for spring. We are hoping to take it to the track to see how it does. I will get more pics up when I get more time. It's been really busy lately with work and stuff which isn't all bad. | |
