| Plan is to get the swap started a week after I start driving the B13, which will hopefully be soon. I grabbed some fender liners for the B13, a shift knob out of an XE, all the intake manifold nuts/bolts for the DET, and a battery tray/tie down. I'm debating going back getting all the Q45 injectors I can and then flipping them for profit, but I have feeling that will be more frustrating than it would be worthwhile. | |

| Nice update. Are you having any issues with getting the injectors out of the rail, or is the problem getting to the injectors? | |

| Ben, I saw 3 Q45's out there that had the proper injectors.
Wes, the hard part is getting them out of the rail.

| I should be working, but the weekend shift rotations have been pretty crazy lately so I won't know until Wednesday for sure. If tomorrow is a bit more dry I might head out. | |

| Once you have the covers off it's easy. Screw the cap crews back in to the rail about 3/4 down. Then use two small blade screwdrivers to pry them out. The cap screws act as the fulcrum. | |

| Looks like your car is soming along nicely.
One other way to remove sidefeeds is to take the caps off spray some pb blaster around the base of the injector and let that sit for a while. Then find yourself a large flat blade screw driver and put it in between the bottom of the plastic connector and the top part of the rail. It should just barely fit, then just twist the screw driver lightly while pushing inward. They usually come out rather easy and un damaged.
This may not work well on the q45's as i havent tried, but for removing sr20 side feeds it works like a charm.

| The piping was originally designed using literally the same motor in a B14 with a W10 setup, I should be fine once I get a different outlet. | |

| Well it's been nearly a year since an update, I suppose it's time. DET project is no more, sold mostly everything, still have the intercooler setup and recirc valve, and a few other odds and ends... Car is going to be a 100% autocross and track car now, street duty is no more. The car has just been sitting since I bought my WRX in November, so I finally went out and did something with it today, Put on the GC plates, rear stillen strut bar, Wes's old koni setup, and took it for a spin! Made me remember why I love that car. I still have to put on the stillen rear sway bar and whiteline caster bushings I got from Wes as well. The rear is also completely gutted now, it's all just bare metal. Anybody want to buy some AGX's with Road Magnets? You need to trim the strut tower lips in order to fit the plates, I chewed up one new cutting disk on my dremel getting through about 1/6 of the other side, decided it was easier to file it down... Now I need to remove that AGX sticker. The strut bar won't fit with those stupid lines on the top of the manifold, so I will have to switch to the '95-'97 style intake manifold, oh well! Comparison of the rears, The new stance Surprisingly, the CSK's ride MUCH smoother than the RM/AGX, even with a stiffer rate and shorter spring. For not having been washed in 8 months, thats not too shabby. Next up is to fix the brakes... | |

| since last time I installed the bent rear beam off of Wes's car as well as the Stillen rear swaybar. The interior is also completely gutted, the only things that remain is the two front seats and the dashboard. I bought an early low port intake manifold off of Slacker and installed that today in order to fit the Stillen front strut bar. It looks like I'll have to remove the front suspension again and completely grind down those strut tower lips, the GC camber plates are a fraction of an inch too far apart for the strut bar to reach, I think one of them might not be 100% flush. | |

| Old manifold ready to come out (notice those three vacuum lines running across the top) No manifold New old manifold! (with strut bar mocked in place) I also finished one of my wheels, I used a sparkle clear coat over the white and that turned yellowish after about a week, so it needs to get re-done. Does anybody know where I can get these powder coated? | |

| It is a bit of a drive but my work owns its own powder coat shop in greenville, WI. If you are interested in a quote let me know and i can pm you the managers #. Depending on color it can be reasonably priced. The car looks great and seems to be coming along nicely. Mine on the other hand not so much. 20 miles on it this year and my turbo died. | |
