| Its been awhile since i have updated. I got some stuff done. This has happened over the last several weeks. Pulled the engine again and started to clean up the engine bay wiring Harness pulled apart It took me a day and a half to weed the harness down to separate where the wires are going. Got it all routed where i wanted it and taped up. Started the new fuse box. Need to tidy up some things and modify the relay holder to go where i want it. Also wrapped the header. Need to get some silicone spray to finish it off. I got my o-rings (thanks DJ) for the front cover so i can fix the oil leak too. I hope i can get that done this weekend. Its getting warm and i want to start driving it soon. | |

| I have all the parts i need now (Thanks BORNGEARHEAD) to get the motor back together. I cleaned a few of the parts but i ran out of my good cleaner and the other one i had doesnt work. I got some new stuff and should get the parts cleaned and put back together this weekend. The drivers side parking brake never worked, i pulled the caliper apart and found out why. This looks like a mess because it is. Where the lever for the parking brake goes into the caliper is a set of needle bearings that help it rotate, well the bearing was no longer there, it was replaced by this brown poopy looking stuff. This was after i cleaned out what was left of the bearing. This is what it is suppose to look like. I had 4 different calipers to get one good one. The original was non repairable, the second had issues upon disassembly, the third was just a parts donor from the passenger side, and the fourth was donated (Thanks xConWrathx) to give me a working body. I was able to clean all the parts and get the caliper assembled and installed back in the car. I want to also put the braided brake lines on the car so i can check that off the list. | |

| I was able to get the front cover and upper oil pan on today. I still need to repaint the lower pan and it was not warm enough today. Also took a pick of my kangaroo just for fun. | |

| Painted some parts last night and today. The lower oil pan needed a new coat since it was a little rusty. The surface is still rough but at least it is protected. The silicone spray one the header wrap should help it last a little longer and keep the water out. I painted the spare valve cover as well. The paint turned out a little different then what i expected. It almost looks like army green but it is gray, i thought it was a darker gray but it matches the cap. Painted the intake the same color. I put the oil pan back on the motor and also replaced the knock sensor that was giving me issues. I hope to get the motor in the car tomorrow but who knows, it is Easter and we are planning a little egg hunt for our daughter. | |

| Got some more things done last night, trying to get it done for next weekend. Painted the letters on the valve cover, i think it helps make it looked finished. I was going to sand down to aluminum like i did on the last one but i thought the black would look better. I was fiddling around with the alt and got it to work with one of the belts i had. It works perfectly, the tensioner is right in the middle so i have room for adjustment. I pulled the brackets for the alt and the cast motor mount and started to paint them as well. I see lots of late nights next week to get this done. I have to loom the wiring, get the motor back in, bleed the brakes, put the dash back in, tie up some loose wiring, and a few other small items i am sure i am forgetting. | |

| Modify the PS bracket. You have to cut a little off. I figure you need to leave a width of 47mm from the back to the front where it mounts to the pump. This will give you the correct spacing needed so the belt rides in the back of the Alt pulley and the top sits flush with the tensioner bracket. Really easy to do once you know what to do. | |

| Got some wiring done tonight. Finished getting the starter and alternator wiring to the correct length. Hooked up the shift linkage as well. I need to get some split loom to finish those harnesses and then i can call them done. Tomorrow i will start on the axles, radiator, and what ever else i can get done. | |
