| As some of you know, I had a rear caliper seize up on me about a month ago, and my cheap ass finally put on a new one today! And by the looks of it, I ran out of brake pad about a week ago, and I had another week to go on the rotor! It's weird, I kind of got used to that uncomfortable metallic crunching every time I stopped.... | |

| dont forget to replace the caliper bracket/slide. This is the part that usually freezes up, and causes lack of caliper movement. Just did the rear caliper and bracket, yes i did one i am a cheap ass so what you wanna fight about it. LOL | |

Hope you bought two rotors, that one will warp on the first track day next year if not before. I did my sliders but the ebrake still does not work on the drivers side. I am going to rebuild the caliper and see if that helps.

| Nope, just the one. I didn't want to spend much money because I plan on switching to NX fronts (or Fastbrakes if I can scrounge the dough) with the Maxima rears and Altima MC. | |

| Are the maxima rears a direct swap for B14s? | |

| No clue, I'm not fresh on the specs. I believe the caliper works with the stock bracket but you need a different rotor to get the right bolt pattern to work with those calipers, or you could just redrill maxima rotors. | |

| I figured the bolt pattern wasnt going to work, but I was wondering about the calipers and if they would bolt right up. I will have to do some digging on this. | |

| Anyone know a good cheep shop that will get my caliper bracket off? I replaced my caliper last week but couldn't get the bracket off so I didn't get to grind the rotor. Last time I had seized bolts in a bracket I snapped them off and had to get them drilled out. | |

Anti-seize is your best friend. I dont think anyone else can get them out if you cant. Try putting some penetrating oil on it for a few days in a row and just hit the bracket with a hammer just to shake things up. Then try taking it off again. If it still does not budge try using a torch. You should be able to buy new brackets for $30 or so at most auto parts stores.

| When in doubt, bust out the hammer and blow torch. | |

| I'm not worried about having to get a new one, its getting the bracket off the... hub? I used pb and a torch last time, nothing. Then attached the 3 foot extension to the breaker bar and, well... broke it Had to bring it to the shop. They smashed the rotor to pieces so that they could drill out the bolts and re-tap the holes. I'll just have to try it and see how it goes. I think my brother bought a tap and die set so I should be able to re-tap them myself I guess. By the way, I hate Wisconsin. Fucking salt and rust. | |
